ANOTHER DAY
The alarm bell rings
another day begins
sleepy children dragged
out of their warm beds
geysers switched on, uniforms laid out.
the oven beeps
breakfast is ready
tuna, tomatoes and olives
that's the sandwich mix
tiffins on the table, car keys in the ignition
some high pitched yelling
the boys come sprinting
into the car, milk forgotten
my stern admonitions
invite indulgent smiles
and the daily advice
Just chill, Mom !!
